FAQ
The questions people ask us most.
How many numbers can I block? Why 500,000?
Right now, up to about 500,000 numbers.
This limit is determined by several factors such as the iPhone model and iOS version. It is not a limit Kabe set on purpose.
One rule covers up to 100,000 numbers, so 5 rules of 100,000 fill it up. To fit more rules, make each range smaller: one dot less makes a range ten times smaller.
On iOS 26, some numbers I added still get through. Why?
First, think: have you ever called this number yourself?
On iOS 26, numbers you have called cannot be blocked. Open the Phone app, go to "Recents", delete that outgoing call, and the number will be blocked again.
This is an iOS problem, not a Kabe setting.
What do the number range and the dots mean?
A number range is a group of numbers that start with the same digits.
One dot stands for any single digit. 866771●●●● (10 digits) means 8667710000 to 8667719999, 10,000 numbers.
1 dot is 10 numbers, 2 dots 100, 3 dots 1,000, 4 dots 10,000, 5 dots 100,000. The maximum is 5.
Real verification-code texts are treated as scams?
In version 1.3.23 we fixed a problem where real verification-code texts were filtered as spam (reported by users in China).
Update Kabe from the App Store. If it still happens, tell us with "Send feedback" in the app.
Can Kabe block calls with no caller ID, or international calls?
No. iPhone does not let any app block these two. A hidden number has nothing to match, and only your carrier can stop calls from abroad.
Kabe's home screen has two guides that tell you, for your country, whether your carrier offers this and how to turn it on. See how.
Does Kabe read my call history or my texts?
iPhone does not let apps read your call history. Kabe does not collect your call history, the text of your messages, or your contacts.
Whether a text looks suspicious is decided on your iPhone. The message text is not uploaded. No ads, no tracking.
Details are in our Privacy Policy.
Does Kabe cost money?
Kabe is free to download, every feature is included, and there are no ads. There is an optional tip in the app. You can use everything without it.
Which iPhones are supported?
Any iPhone with iOS 16 or later.
